Coming in from LA by way of Colorado, rising alt-pop artist Cil (‪@cil236‬ ) joined us on the roof for a stripped-back performance that hit straight through the autumn air.

CIL’s journey into music started young. Growing up in Fort Collins with seven siblings, she taught herself piano and turned to songwriting as a way to make sense of what she was feeling. Music quickly became her clearest form of self-expression. At 18, she moved to Los Angeles on her own to pursue it full-time, and she’s been on a steady rise ever since.

CIL has a voice that lands — raw, unfiltered, and deeply felt. She lays it all out on the mic, and we had front row seats to the emotion. Tracks like “One More Shot” and “Bloodsucker” turned heads in 2023, but her latest single “You’re a Liar (You Love Me)” is the one that shook the rooftop. There’s a reason Stevie Nicks hand-picked her for an arena tour — and watching her live, it all makes sense.
